~94PTS WINE SPECTATOR
There's lovely licorice and crushed blackberry on the nose, with some raisin notes. Full-bodied, with big, velvety tannins and powerful fruit. The mineral, aniseed and crushed dark berry flavors are impressive. Dense and concentrated, yet balanced.

| 94 Pts Wine Spectator There's lovely licorice and crushed blackberry on the nose, with some raisin notes. Full-bodied, with big, velvety tannins and powerful fruit. The mineral, aniseed and crushed dark berry flavors are impressive. Dense and concentrated, yet balanced. Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best after 2011.
The 2007 vintage in Tuscany was a grand. As has been the case since the outstanding 2001 vintage, many producers are releasing yet another brilliant effort in what has been a superb string of successful vintages. In fact, Wine Spectator reports confirm the “2007 as an excellent vintage, comparable with 2001 and 2004.” Having awarded the vintage and region an initial score range of 93-97 pts, further describing the wines as “Slightly richer wines than in 2006, but equally structured and balanced”. |
