~WINEMAKER'S NOTES 2003
Fruit sets the tone: cherries, plums and orange blossoms. Nicely integrated oak supports the fruit. Notes of baking spice add interest. Serious at first, this Pinot is creamy in the mid-palate and the finish goes on and on. While ready to drink now, it will clearly benefit from bottle aging.

| This is not your run-of-the-mill Pinot Noir. It’s the tango as opposed to the minuet. Smooth but never boring. The texture is suede with piquant flavors focused on spice, smoke, and cherries. Oak shows itself as a toffee character from nose to mid-palate. Orange peel and sassafras notes add to the exotic rhythm of the wine.
